Tably, the Web 2.0 Sticky Tab from Numly, has been enhanced to support more social networking features including:

- Optional Login with Numly Single Sign On (SSO)

- RSS Feeds Available by Note Taker (http://rss.tably.com/chris) or All Public Notes (http://rss.tably.com)

You can also now click on our logo within the tab to get back to the tably.com home page to enter a new URL or you can simply type http://tably.com/anyurl into your browser's address bar.

Numly Launches Web 2.0 Sticky Tab Today!

Ever researched something online and needed to take notes on each page or site visited? Ever wanted to share your notes on web pages with others? What if there was a web-based sticky pad that was so easy to use for yourself and allowed you to share your notes with your family and friends?

Well?

Today Numly is launching its Web 2.0 social-based web page sticky pad called Tably! Tably allows you to surf the web and make publicly available notes on any web page on the net.

How does it work?
You can either go to http://tably.com and enter a URL in the text box to begin surfing and note taking.

You can add the URL address directly to the end of the Tably.com domain such as http://tably.com/yahoo.com.

Everything on the destination site looks as expected except for the pink Tably Tab in the upper left corner of the page. Simply click on the Tably Tab and view notes posted by other web visitors on the same page while using Tably and/or create your own notes and share your wisdom about the web page with others!

Numly Firefox Extension Supports 2.0

Numly, the Web 2.0 Copyright and Rights Assignment Service, has upgraded its Firefox Extension to support the newly released Firefox Version 2.0. The Numly xtension was submitted to Mozilla today for review and approval but in the mean time you can download it from http://numly.com/numly/numly.xpi.

Numly Launches Firefox Search Plug-in

Numly, the Web 2.0 copyright and rights assignment service, develops and deploys a new Firefox Search Plug-in. Now in addition to using the top right search box for Google searches, you can add Numly's search to the list and look up Numly copyrights (both All Rights Reserved and Creative Commons) directly from the Firefox browser!

Numly Gets a Makeover

Numly's website has been given a face lift making things easier to find for new authors and artists. Now there is a Tools section along the entire right side of the page which includes the Firefox, Apple, and WordPress plug-ins as well as the orphan works lookup tools and the upload for verification feature. We would still like to move more of the portal transactions to the front page once you login as well as the ability to always remember you.

Numly Gets Creative Commons' Attention

Numly, the Web 2.0 copyright and rights assignment service, gets some press on the Creative Commons weblog today. Chris Matthieu of Numly started a descrption and comparison table for the registrar space on the CC wiki. The comparison grid includes a review of Numly, Registered Commons, Duly Noted, and Copyright.gov (the US Copyright Office).

Numly Adds Author Photos

Numly now supports social networking based author photos and search functionality. You can page through the thousands of registered authors or search for specific ones. Once you find the author that you are interested in reading their works, you can click on their photo and go to their Numly home page. There you will find all of their Numly registered public works. You can even add this page to your RSS reader so that you are always informed of new content regardless where they post it.

New Numly Features

Regular Numly copyrighters probably noticed a new copyright search feature on the home page this week. Content can be searched under All Rights Reserved and Creative Commons licenses or both. Now when you select the Creative Commons license to search, a new drop down box appears that allows you to further specify the type of CC license to find that matches your search criteria.

I wish that I would have come up with this idea on my own but I cannot take credit for it. Mike Linksvayer, the CTO of Creative Commons, suggested this feature. Thanks Mike!

Another enhancement made to the Numly search feature is the ability to simply explore new public Numly Number submissions. Click on the Explore link above the search box and you will receive a results page with Numly Number registrations listed in the order of newest to oldest as submitted to Numly. This listing also denotes the ARR or CC license designation on the left of each registration. Note: you can click on the n-page link to see more registered works from the same author.
