Removing Numly Numbers is Illegal

Did you know that it is officially illegal to remove Numly Numbers from their affixed works? That's right! According to the 4th provision of the DMCA, the alteration of copyright management information is prohibited. For more information on this provision, check out the following links:

Numly Numbers serve as copyright managements information. Each Numly Number represents the copyright license (All rights reserved or Create Commons) of a digital work along with the date and time stamp of the submission of the digital work to Numly. Numly Numbers also represent the title of the work, the author, the name of the copyright owner, the terms and conditions for use of the work. Numly Numbers can also be used to reference the digital rights (DRM) of the licensee of the assigned number.
