One of our members sent me a great use of ESBN suggestion that I wanted to share with everyone. He had received a request to distribute corporate confidential information in digital and hard copies to the Executive Team. They needed a way to track each of these documents - primarily who was assigned to each one (in case they were accidentally lost or distributed outside of the team so they would know who's copy is at fault).
They accomplished this lite-DRM tracking solution by creating an ESBN ID for each copy of the document and assigning it to each digital document and specifying in the licensee field the Executive's name that was responsible for the copy. Each hard copy also contained the unique ESBN ID for that Executive.
Keep the ideas flowing!
